Description: Glasgow Science Festival returns for its 18th year, celebrating how research is transforming our lives, our cities, and our futures. Our packed programme of over 150+ events will appear in 40+ venues across the City. Almost all events are free! Highlights include our space-themed outdoor cinema, science circus cabaret, a health & wellbeing escape room, a chance to pilot underwater ROV and our festival special pub quiz.

Title: Glasgow Science Festival: Science on the Streets Cathedral & Necropolis Tour
Description: Join us on our tour of Glasgow Cathedral graveyard and the Necropolis and discover the revolutionary advancements in science and medicine pioneered right on our doorstep. Explore a range of scientific developments, from the introduction of antiseptics to transatlantic communications.

Description: Life is a science cabaret old chum! After a magnificent launch at last year's Glasgow Science Festival, we're back with a fabulous array of performers from the Scottish circus scene and students from Community Circus Paisley - all showing off what science means to them.

Title: Glasgow Science Festival: Transformative Science at UWS
Description: Join University of the West of Scotland staff and students for an exciting day out for the entire family to learn all about the transformative powers of science. Create your own bath bomb to take home. Explore the extreme environments laboratory to discover cutting edge sport science. Discover the wonders of zoology, meet living creatures and test your putting skills using modern technology. The University’s School of Health and Life Sciences, School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences have come together to showcase the exciting science being developed at UWS. PlayTalkRead is a programme delivered by Smart Play Network and funded by the Scottish Government as an extension of their ParentClub initiative.
